Bustle  / crinoline uit ca 1875

Onlangs heb ik deze mooie bustle/crinoline mogen overnemen met ijzeren baleinen en bandjes aan de binnenkant. De roezelrand onderaan vind ik ook prachtig. Wat vroeger gebruikt werd als (onderkleding) vinden veel mensen prachtig om nu mee te decoreren. Samen met het corset vind ik het een mooi geheel geworden.

A bustle is a type of framework used to expand the fullness or support the drapery of the back of a woman's dress, occurring predominantly in the mid-to-late 19th century. Bustles were worn under the skirt in the back, just below the waist, to keep the skirt from dragging. Heavy fabric tended to pull the back of a skirt down and flatten it. Thus, a woman's petticoated or crinolined skirt would lose its shape during everyday wear (from merely sitting down or moving about). The word "bustle" has become synonymous with the fashion to which the bustle was integral.

Sunlight and mirror

Het zonnetje schijnt zo heerlijk naar binnen..

Tijdens onze kerstvakantie is er voor de plaats van de loveseat een chaise longue gekomen.
De grote spiegel hebben we er boven gehangen. Het maakt de woonkamer optisch groter en het speelt zo mooi met het licht. Ook hebben we het vloerkleed weggehaald. Heerlijk opgeruimd gevoel.

The sun is shining....

During the Christmas vacation we made some changes in the livingroom. We replaced the loveseat for the chaise longue and put the big French mirror above it.

It makes the room looks bigger and plays with the light in the room. Als took away the carpet..
It feels fresh and cleaned up.

Christmas decorations .. / Kerst sfeer...

Langzaam komen de kerst decoraties in huis... heb er zin in.

Dit oude kerk paneel vind ik erg sfeervol en kan er altijd leuke sfeertjes mee creeeren..

Oude Franse schouw.. An old French chimney

Een mooie oude schouw stond al een tijdje op mijn wensen lijst. Liefst natuurlijk in de woonkamer maar daar past het niet. Ik heb nu een mooie oude gekocht en geplaatst in ons halletje.
Ben er heel blij mee. Ik kan zo ontzettend genieten van mooie oude patina en verf. De uistraling van deze  schouw is precies wat ik mooi vind.

Our home featured in Magazine Shabby style / Binnenkijker van ons huis in het Franse blad Shabby style.

Onlangs is er een binnenkijker geweest van ons huis in het Franse blad Shabby style en in de magazines Romantisch einrichten en Country Chic.

Ben heel erg blij en voel me vereerd met deze uitgebreide binnenkijker (25 paginas ;-)
Hieronder een aantal pagina's. Natuurlijk is er weer het eea veranderd aangezien ik het heerlijk vind om steeds nieuwe sfeertjes te maken en niet stil kan zitten.
